In the commonwealth’s 9th congressional district race, Daniel "Dan" Meuser defeated Amanda Waldman for the House seat representing Berks, Bradford, Columbia, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming the AP projects.
The incumbent was leading his democratic party opponent by a margin of 71.9% to 28.1%, with 93% of the vote as of 12 a.m., Nov. 6, according to the PA Department of State.
The 60-year-old Meuser has represented the district since 2019, after serving as the state's secretary of revenue.
Among his top issues, according to Ballotpedia, were protecting immigration, gun owner's rights, and US defense.
The Pennsylvania native previously was an executive at Pride Mobility Products, an electric scooter and wheelchair company started by his family.
